Rodolfo Dordoni was born in 1954 in Milan.
He received his Architecture degree in 1979 from the "Politecnico" University of Milan. From 1979 to 1989 he managed the artistic direction and the image of the company Cappellini. Among the producst designed for this firm are the container sets Colombia, the chairs Lipsia, the couch Cuba. He designed for a large number of companies including: Barovier & Toso, Moroso, Foscarini, Tisettanta, Artemide, Driade, Arteluce, Venini, Flos, Lema, FontanaArte, Minotti, Flou, Molteni, Jab, Dornbracht, Sambonet, Rossana, Fiam. He designed exhibit sets in Milan and at the Grand Palais of Paris. He has designed a residential area in Padova and the Panasonic Italia corporate offices. Since 1995 he has designed many stores and showrooms for D&G/Dolce & Gabbana.
He designed products such as the Otero lamp, the Ambrosiana bookcase, the Brunch table, the coffee table Glow and the Seven mirror for FontanaArte.
