Park Associati
Michele Rossi obtained his architecture degree from the "Politecnico" University of Milan in 1991; and from 1992 to 1996 he partnered with Michele De Lucchi at his own firm. In 1996 he transferred to London where he went to work with David Chipperfield and Din Associates; during the same period he was also named Visiting Professor at the St. Martin's School of Arts of London. In 1999 he returned to Italy and created the Park Associati. From 1999 to 2001 he has taught at the "Istituto Europeo di Design" of Milan and from 1999 until the present he has been teaching at the ISAD. In the 2000, him and Filippo Pagliani, have been selected to be awarded with "Cosenza Prize" intended for young European architects.
Filippo Pagliani After obtaining his architecture degree from the "Politecnico" University of Milan, he worked with Renzo Piano from 1992 to 1996 in Paris. Then, he worked at the studio of Michele De Lucchi in Milan until he partnered with Michele Rossi to create the Park Associati in 1999. Since 1996 he has been in charge of the final synthesis of the section "Progettazione degli Elementi Costruttivi" at the "Politecnico" University of Milan. In 2004 he won a scholarship for his doctorate degree in "Research of systems and building processes" at the "Politecnico" University of Milan. In the years 1999 and 2002 he has taught at the ISAD (Architectural and Design Institute) and in 2000 he was selected to be awarded with the "Cosenza Prize" intended for young European architects. Park Associati was founded in 1999 by Filippo Pagliani and Michele Rossi. Their company is an architectural, interior design and stands designing studio that uses its network of well-established specialized consultants (structures, plants, road systems, quantity surveyors, environments, graphics, lighting and multimedia).
Throughout the years the firm has developed projects that pay special attention to handicrafted details such as in interior design as well as the complexity of urban architectural design. Among their works of greater complexity and popularity can be mentioned the financial centers (or investments centers) for Crédit Suisse in Milan, and, after their success, in Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt and Stockholm. More notable are the Nordest Cafe in Milan, the Milanese offices of the Lehman Brothers and The Face, the concept store for the company Motivi in Rome, the offices for the company Tandeem Real Estate Company in Kuwait City, the project for Morgan Stanley's new financial centers, the Fineurop spa offices in Milan, the office building in Lainate, Milan, for the company Jacaranda Group srl, today offices of the company Acer Italia, a hotel in Varese (Capolago), the concept store of the Telecom Italia, the stand for Telecom Italia at the exhibit ITU 2003 of Geneva, the stand for Telecom Italia at the exhibit SMAU 2003. Also, during these years, the studio has worked on private villas and the recovery of very old structures. In the field of industrial design the firm has produced the Iceberg lighting system for FontanaArte and the Sumo chair for Saporiti Italia. Among their recent works are the itinerant exhibit "Solo" and the new atrium of the MAXXI in Rome, the National Museum of the XXI Century Arts after they won a contest organized by DARC. The works of the studio have been published in Italian and international magazines.
