Carlo Tamburini was born in 1958 in Milan, Italy. After he attended the "Istituto Europeo di Design" in Milan, he started working as a freelance designer designing interiors, display and packaging systems.

He collaborated with a number of architecture studios and in 1997 he joined the firm Lissoni Associati of Milan where he is currently the coordinator for the design department. In 1998 he has co-founded the group "Codice 31" and from 1999 he design products and exhibit stands for Pallucco Italia, MOS by Cover, Glas Italia and Coro.

He has designed the lamps Duplex, Sag, and Slice for FontanaArte.
